Mike

Me am just grunt, goomba, thug, pack-mule, poop-scooper, vent for hostilities...in short, I are the Stable Boy.

I grew up in rural Oklahoma where I learned a bit about ranch life and life in general while enjoying such popular pastimes as hay hauling, dog training, pushing my '75 Chevy Vega, and burger flipping.  I was captured by Lisa in 2004 and trained in the ancient art of Ranch Maintenance.  I may not be the Chemical Engineer that my wife is, but I am a Master "Backwoods Engineer".  (i.e. There is nothing that I won't try to fix with duct tape, bailing wire, or a good swift kick.)

Demonstrating uncommon skill and grace, I have been thumped by cows; struck, kicked and bitten by horses; bitten by dogs, cats and iguanas alike; sprayed by a skunk and  swarmed by bees.  For some strange reason, I still support Lisa in her obsession with animals.

^{I asked Lisa once how many horses she had shown and how many Classes she had won in her life.  She didn't have any idea.  For that matter, she doesn't even know how many National level Top Tens she's claimed.  I thought that was sad, so I decided to track my show stats from the very beginning.  Here's the summary from the bottom of my spreadsheet:}
